Andrea Churchill
Andrea Churchill discovered her passion and purpose in life during her transition into high school, when she became infatuated with The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, a Victorian superhero film based on the comic by Alan Moore. Andrea then discovered , a place where writers could post stories they’ve written, based on existing ones. After reading a particular story based on the movie she loved, Andrea was inspired to start writing fan-made stories of her own. After writing fan fictions for several years and drawing from many other sources of inspiration, Andrea began to come up with some ideas of her own, one of them being The Lerewood .

After graduating high school in Long Island, New York, Andrea studied at Sarah Lawrence College for a year, hoping to learn how to improve her writing. After leaving school (because who needs debt?), Andrea completed her first novella, The Lerewood , and it was published by Kellan Publishing in 2015.

Andrea currently works in finance, and is an aspiring actress who has worked on film and television sets in New York City. She is now a resident of Staten Island, New York, with her boyfriend and their two cats, Shadow and Ugly Betty. She continues to write, and is currently working on her next book.
The Lerewood
By Andrea Churchill
Legends speak of a place called Lerewood, an isolated little village set in the middle of an immeasurable, ghostly wood. The townspeople suffer from severe poverty and filth, living more like savage animals than a cultured civilization. However, despite the town’s inhuman conditions, the townspeople never seem to die from disease or starvation, and their numbers only seem to grow with each generation. No one knows the truth of how Lerewood came to be, but many secrets seem to revolve around an ancient, legendary creature that lives in the surrounding forest. They say she’ll hunt anyone who dares trespass onto her land;

Those who enter the forest never come back.

One middle-aged man, Uallas, depressed and tired of abuse from his monstrous wife, decides to commit suicide by entering the wood. But when he steps foot into the mythical dark forest, Uallas finds that everything he ever knew about the town, and himself, were lies. These new discoveries only lead to more questions, where the truth can only be found in the mysterious, undiscovered world.
